Cleaning tutorials and all you might know
« on: September 09, 2012, 04:48:05 pm »
I'm starting this thread by posting a tutorial and giving a few tips:
Tutorial
I think in this tutorial pretty much everything is explained.
My own advise is, read a lot of manga paying attention to spot the CL'ing mistakes on them, that'd make your work way easier.
Also, since this seems to be a problem for a lot of people. To remove dust, create an adjustment layer of levels and leave white and grey as it is and move black to 253, a lot of grey-black spots on white parts of the scan will appear, that IS DUST, and it's not supposed to appear there, don't confuse this with some pattern though. to make sure, go hidding and unhidding that level layer to be able to see what was supposed to be white and what not. Instead of a level layer you can create a brightness/contrast layer instead and set brightness to -150.

If anyone else has more tutorials or tips that they want to share, please post them here =D
